Mary Bowron Award not for 2024
Visionary ceramic artist Mary Bowron (1933-2017), lived near Boyds, Maryland, and was inspired by all aspects of the natural world and social justice issues. For more than 60 years, she worked as a painter, potter, print-maker and sculptor. Always gratified to know young people were expressing their originality in clay, she would be pleased to know this award celebrates the creative achievement of people she never had the opportunity to meet.
