Title: | Polluted Dreams |
Description: | Composed of a dark clay body, shiny resin overcoat, and filthy fishermans coat, Polluted Dreams aims to exemplify the solemness and nostalgia surrounding an old fishmerans thoughts of oceanic pollution. His stoic expression accompanied by the scene hollowed out in his head creates a depressive and despairing mood, attempting to make the viewer sympathize with his sorrow stemming from the polluted sea. Using a dark color scheme, wispy wool hair, and deeply creviced features, I constructed an extremely old, almost comical looking man to personify an older generation that would have remembered a cleaner sea. The plastics and debris, both attached to his coat and in his mind, epitomize the wretched state of our current oceans. |
