Title: | Socially Distanced |
Description: | The tea ceremony represents a social act in which close friend and loved ones come together to share their life experiences and to find enjoyment in the presence of their guests. This piece represents the stark contrast of our societies views on how to approach social behaviors during a pandemic. Using both wood and wheel thrown clay, I was able to suspend these vessels in what seems to be a state of limbo, while the contrasting materials, textures and colors represent the contrast in our societal views on social distancing. |
