Title: Eye See You
Description: The "Eye See You" ceramic piece is a study in anthropomorphic abstraction, where the tactile and the visual entwine to evoke the sensation of being watched. The vessel, cloaked in a deep, variegated glaze that suggests the complex texture of living tissue, bears a series of eye-like apertures that follow the viewer with an almost sentient presence. These glazed 'eyes' contrast starkly with the raw, earthy body of the pot, grounding it in nature while simultaneously bestowing upon it a lifelike vitality. The organic shape of the pot, with its smooth, rounded contours, cradles these gazes, creating a playful yet profound commentary on the act of observation and the interconnectedness of the observer and the observed. Each 'eye' serves as a window, not only into the soul of the piece but also reflecting back at us, inviting introspection about the nature of perception and the inherent desire to be seen and understood.
