16th Annual National K12 Ceramic Exhibition
3/20/2013 - 3/22/2013
Anne Currier
Anne Currier is a ceramic artist and Professor of Ceramic Art at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in Alfred, New York. Her compelling sculptures are a studied use of mass and volume, light and shadow; intersecting shapes that altogether can bear resemblance to the body and architectural fragments. Currier earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1972 and an MFA from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1974. She has won numerous fellowships from the New York Foundation of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
