Description: | This handbuilt bottle was made with raku clay. Cone 6 glaze was fired first then the underglazes were sprayed on and fired to cone 05. Once the bottle cooled to 1300 degrees it was pulled from the kiln and horsehair and sugar was placed on the body of the vessel. Finally, ferric chloride was sprayed on the wheel-thrown neck, handbuilt body and wheel-thrown base to give it a fumed affect. |
