Student Name: | Anessa C |
Grade: | 8 |
Title: | Lady Dimitsescu |
Description: | This delicate piece was one of Anessa's first clay sculptures. The fabric has to be ultra thin so the figure would look elegant. Anessa blackened the skin color a little to represent a Mediterranean heritage. She only had about 10 hours to create this piece, as her time was on this coast was limited. She lives in CA, so after she glazed, the areas where she didn't create proper coverage had to be sanded and re-glazed. She did this through a collaboration with her school art teacher and myself. I was so proud of her for her commitment to her art work. The hat is not attached and will be taped in place. |
