| Description: | The shape of this bowl is inpsired by bowls de barro. The outside of the bowl is to show American culture. It shows the American flag, fireworks for the 4th of July, and a white picket fence. Inside of the bowl, it is showing Mexican culture. It has the Mexican flag. The outside of the lid is also lined with words. The inside of the lid is a self portrait of me in my folklorico head-piece. This sculpture is about how people view me. People view me as an Americanzied Mexican or "white-washed" Mexican. When inside, I am actually in touch with my Mexican culture. |
