Title:	The Three Dragons
Description:	I drew my inspiration from ancient Chinese pottery. I was especially intrigued by the intricate meaningful symbols covering their pottery. I combined aspects of ancient Chinese pottery with my own style and ideas to create a meaningful final piece. My artwork is meant to convey the concept of yin-yang. This concept works through contrasts that connect to work in balance and harmony. I represented the yin through the light and delicacy in the pottery itself and the glaze. The Yang is represented through the dragon which symbolizes power and strength. The yang is also seen in the darkness and roughness of the natural clay. As in the yin-yang, one cannot exist without the other, my artwork would be incomplete without all three of the pots. Each pot has a different yet similar dragon to connect in unity as one. My process of creating my artwork comes directly from nature to interconnect it back to the earth and its natural elements.
