Title: | The Joy of Marbles |
Description: | Inspired by the concept of memories being tangible objects that can be held in one's hand, Jehsinia recreated the main character from the movie, "Inside Out", holding a memory. To her, memories are shiny, glassy things, so she glued marbles to the surface in piles. Then, as it was clearly needed, she created a space for lights to sit under the pile of marbles. The piece was made in 2 pieces so the marbles could be attached separately and the lights can be added and replaced easily. My students are definitely inspired by each other's ideas, and Jehsinia was in the room when my other student, David, added lights to his humpback whale. I don't know who had the idea of lights, first... |
