Title: | Hard Work |
Description: | The piece represents me and my personal fight with depression. Life with depression is messy tiresome, and time consuming but when you've reached the end, you have become something near unbreakable. This is the same process cement goes through before it becomes the foundation for a structure, or the path that many will use for years to come. I used sculpted this solid and then hollowed it out, but I wanted to keep a lot of weight on it because of what it represents. I used jet black, yellow, and white underglazes to finish off the project at the Bisqueware stage. |
