Title: | Not My Fault |
Description: | This artwork was created using slabs pressed into body cast molds. The piece was then removed, assembled, and smoothed using various techniques. The detail was removed, specifically the mouth, which symbolizes not being able to speak out. The student then used underglaze hand prints strategically placed on the human form to represent violence. This student experienced a violent situation and is using the work to visually depict the emotional scars, which have healed but will always be part of her. The measurements will reflect one of the figures, but the piece contains three different human forms, all similar in size. |
