Title: Marocho
Description: This ceramic pot, created by Rosa in her Intro to Ceramics class, is inspired by the traditional pottery of the Acoma people in New Mexico. The piece, an "olla" pot, features delicate, organic flowers and vines that wrap around its surface, evoking a connection to nature. Rosa used red clay slip as the base color, creating a warm, earthy tone, while black and white underglazes were applied to bring her intricate design to life.
