Title: | Mind Under Siege |
Description: | Mind Under Siege is a brain with tools (two pliers, a hammer, two screwdrivers), nails and a screw, stuck into it, resting atop a frame. The brain was hand constructed, along with the nails and screw, the pliers were made using the slab roller with the blue pair having wheel thrown tips, the hammerhead was thrown on the wheel while the rest of it was hand built, the two screwdrivers were thrown on the wheel, and the frame's pillars were also thrown on the wheel. The elements adorning the brain are glazed realistically while the brain itself has a deep purple color, with blue springing out of the veins, signifying its natural beauty as well as constant flow of thoughts. At its core Mind Under Siege is a representation of the artist's battle with their inner self, constantly trying to change how they feel and think; while the tools could be used for rebuilding, they puncture the outer layer of the brain causing more damage than good. |
