Title: | Fleeting Moments From Memories Past |
Description: | For this piece I started out by making a mold using a glass vase. I used plaster to get the shape of the vase. I had to do it in halves so that get the shape of the vase right. After letting the plaster dry I was able to put to two halves together to create the vase shape. To get the off set shape of this vase I shifted one of the sides to change the shape. I then pored Toshi Porcelain casting slip into the mold and let that dry. Once I got it out of the mold I painted it black with an underglaze and used sgraffito to get the design. |
