Title: | Light the Ocean |
Description: | The is a box (two pieces) octopus created by a completely deaf student. In order for me to teach her, I had to learn the American Sign Language basics, and try to have an interpreter here whenever we could. We used a lot of "Miss Sharon" sign language, aka my unique way of explaining things with motions, and visuals. I usually showed her an exact version of the steps with another piece of clay and she got it. The design is entirely her own. Fortunately for me, she's naturally gifted!! |
