Title: | Paschal Lamb |
Description: | Paschal Lamb is a stoneware sculpture of a lamb that represents the biggest event in Christianity: Jesus’ crucifixion. The lamb is a symbol of Jesus as mentioned countless times in the Bible, referring to him as “the Lamb of God.” In this piece, the lamb is placed in a resting position, as if humbly accepting its fate. Along the base of the sculpture, very subtle drops of blood were added to reveal the pain that he is undergoing in a calm nature. Paschal Lamb was brushed with layers of underglaze that were later sanded down to reveal depth. After being glaze fired, an acrylic stain was added to enhance the texture. |
