Title: Plight of the Giraffe
Description: This piece was built solid and hollowed out, reassembled and surfaced. The oscines were created using slabs. Fur texture was carved. The final surface was created using cold surface techniques and false eyelashes were also added to create a realistic giraffe. Idea development is based on giraffes and the reasons for their endangerment: habitat loss and poaching.
