| Title: | Loudest in the room |
| Description: | Within the past year, my art life began to ultimately intersect with my personal life. The piece "Loudest in the Room" is a reflection of my personal struggle with Depression. While I struggled through multiple losses this year, family members, homes, and friends, I resorted to my consolidation; art. While I struggled in the external world, I would resort to the creation of myself in the form of a bust. The piece itself is literally a self-portrait, crying for help. As my depression surrounded my life, I could only look forward to completing the portrait that represented my depression. Similarly, finishing the piece was a journey of self-discovery, finishing the piece was parallel to escaping my depression. |
