Title: | Koi pot |
Description: | Lidded coil pot with sculptural top, glass added in glaze firing. "Koi fish are a source of inspiration for me. Most commonly seen in Chinese and Japanese culture, their representation varies. My main focuses are their symbolism of life changes and transformation, balance, and patience. Because the fluidity of a koi fish’s body matches the water surrounding it, I aimed to capture this flow of movement in my piece." |
