Title: | Mother Mouse Reading Banned Books |
Description: | I utilized the antique form of the chair and the clothing of the mouse to reflect the devolution of freedom in our modern society. If we are cut off from history we are unable to see how our world is going backwards. First, I created the form of the chair by attaching its legs and the back, and carving out details. Then I began to work on the form of the mouse starting with the skirt and bodice, and then attaching the head and feet. With the acrylic paint I created fur texture through varied color shades, and brush strokes. |
