Title: Mushroom Forest
Description: This piece has melted glass and marbles as a detail. Karianne says: Every day, people walk outside and when they see creatures and plants, they may think they're dirty, such as worms, birds and even butterflies. I disagree.. I think, especially mushrooms, are unique. They come in all; shapes, colors and sizes. Even though I'm allergic to them, I still think all of nature is special. She's becoming a competent potter, working on the wheel at least once per week .I’m proud of her tenacity, as she has an incredibly hard time with concentration and focus and really has to work at it. That's part of why I chose her piece for this exhibition. I understand her journey as a young artist and what it took to complete her Mushroom Forest.
