Title: | Silent Growth |
Description: | Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peaceā--Dalai Lama. This work reflects the peace of mind to maintain silence when surrounded by disruption. As chaos continues to be involved in society, it creates separation which welcomes hatred within one another. I began forming this sculpture using a head armature and coil building techniques. After developing the figurative bust, I began adding details to create root structures and parts of the tree that makes up the spine. The figure integrated into the brain lays peacefully as the disruptions and chaos are being silenced by the raised finger to the mouth. |
