| Title: | Childhood Wonder |
| Description: | Childhood Wonder explores the magic and awe of childhood: that time when everything feels larger than life and full of possibility. At her feet lie the small wonders of her world: candy necklaces, tiny animals, and trinkets that fill her imagination with joy. She is untouched by expectations, dressed in a tutu, a shirt she’s outgrown, and a feathered boa–whatever her heart desires. Yet she also wears her mother’s blazer and makeup, playing pretend, imagining what it means to be “grown up.” Her pose, pointing in curiosity, captures the spirit of a child discovering something new and saying, “Look!” a reminder of that instinctive wonder we often lose as we grow older. As adults, we still search for that same magic, though it’s softer now, dimmer, and more fleeting. This piece reflects both the innocence of childhood and the longing to hold onto the creativity, curiosity, and joy that once came so effortlessly. |
