| Title: | Both Sides of the Story |
| Description: | In this piece it’s showing two different fairy tales, ‘The Fox and the Crow’ and ‘The Crow and the Pitcher’, two stories with similar characters and intellect. I wanted to show the parallels of both stories on each face of the oval-shaped vessel. On the sides I added more detailed linework of both the fox and the crow, versus the painted look of the scenes and added floral elements to suggest the borders you see in those storybooks on the edges of the page. I used colorfully glazes to add to the childlike aesthetic and topped it off with clear glaze to finish it. |
