Description: | The project begins with rolled out slab. Students then use a template to trace around the shirt pattern. Students decorate the surface with press molds, textures or sprigs. Newspaper is rolled up and placed on one side of the flipped clay shirt. It now can stand up, allowing students to construct head, slip coiled hands or ams in the arm holes. All of this requires slipping and scoring. Additions can be added - hats / hands / embellishments of all kinds. |
