Description:	This work is a coil-built non-functional bottle. I built the work out of a clay named “Grogzilla” which contains, according to the manufacturer, 4 types of grog as well as heavy sand. I burnished this piece after applying XX-Saggar terra sigillata which I mixed myself. While burnishing it, the spoon I was using caught on the large, cat-litter-sized chunks of grog, causing them to be dragged along the piece, leaving visible trials which served to contrast the surrounding smooth and polished surfaces. I then bisque fired this piece and wrapped it in cloth, steel wool, and wire (aluminium, brass, and copper wire) before pit firing it under wood, coal, seaweed, woodchips, and cow-pies. Copper Basic was poured over the pit. The pit burned for 8-10 hours. The flames were then extinguished, and the piece was recovered the next day.
