Title: | Beauty of the waves |
Description: | The artist wanted to create the sense of motion as this Dolphin leaped through and out of a crashing wave. She applied both slab construction a additive sculpture. The edges of the wave show her great attention to detail, as they are thin and irregular. She studied many images of crashing waves to create this effect. .She used the leather dry stage to make the wave appear buoyant and grand. She used 4 different glazes, elements, added crystals, and "snow" glaze, to create depth and realism in the water effect. |
