Title: Gripping On
Description: I am deeply interested in the concept of discomfort and challenging myself to investigate how to represent this idea in clay. With this clay, I have invented a variety of forms that are round, tall, angled, some twist, expand, shrink, and intertwine on their own or with mix media. I have also been inspired by nature; I am captivated by that shapes and colors it can produce. And the clay surfaces I have developed are rich, layered, earthly, and highly textured modeling the marks life leaves on us.
